Sonic

There are fast food chains where I like to dine (McDonalds, Burger King, Popeyes, KFC, Taco Bell, Wendys, etc.) and there are ones that I've eaten once and will never eat again (Krystals, White Castle, Mrs. Winners, etc). Now there is one fast food restaurant that holds a special place in my heart. Sonic. I hate their food. There is really only two things I like about Sonic, a. their drinks and b. their commercials.

Anyone who knows me, knows I watch A LOT of television. I mostly DVR my TV shows so I can fast forward through commercials. Whenever I see a Sonic commercial I have to watch because they crack me up. If you haven't seen any Sonic commercials you can catch a couple here.

Potlucks

So today the Cancer Biology department at my school had our yearly holiday potluck (don't ask me why we decide to do it 3 weeks late). I like potlucks but at the same time I hate them. I got harassed by our departmental secretary about what I was going to bring. At first I wasn't going to participate but then I decided to bring in some BBQ chicken that I bought from Kroger. Now in our department only about 20 people brought in a dish but currently about 70 people are grubbing on food that they didn't participate in (mostly medical students). I would feel kind of bad about eating food at a potluck when I didn't bring any food. Either way most of food was good and I ended up eating a lot so I'm stuffed.

Tai Slumz

If you are a fan of rap/hip-hop, you need to check out the next best rapper out of the District. Tabi Bonney and Wale laid the groundwork for rappers in D.C., but Tai Slumz is definetly going to put the DMV on the map. Oh did I mentoin that he's my brother. LOL. Watch Your Back

I'm listening to music on my laptop and its on shuffle. The Watch Your Back (Interlude) off the Ma$e Harlem World album comes on. I used to find the exchange between Ma$e and this dude funny and I still do. Mainly because I've been in a similar situation or two or three before where some girl was feeling me and her dude came at me sideways. My thing is if your girl is feeling me, then that's an issue you should be discussing with her and not me.

Ma$e: This Ma$e, what up?
Jealous Boyfriend (JB): Yo Ma$e I'ma make this short and to the point. I'm a fan of yours, you know, my kids like you, they dance to you. You know we like what's goin on wit you. All I'm sayin is don't give my girl your number no more.
Ma$e: What?
JB: Don't give my girl your number no more man
Ma$e: Who your girl B?
JB: Listen man listen. You wild easy to get son, you know what I'm saying. I've been to jail twice man and I'm not scared and I love and I want go back. You understand what I'm saying? So, don't give my girl your number no more man.
Ma$e: Come on B wit all that yo
JB: When the smoke clears man, Puff Daddy and all them niggaz you runnin with man. They ain't gonna be there man and neither will you man. So I'ma close it off like that B you know what I'm sayin.
Ma$e: Whatever B
JB: I'ma leave it like that son
Ma$e: Aight man

So dudes out there, if your girl is interested in another guy there is no point in beefing with said dude. You have two options. 1. Take up the issue with her and then step your game up because you're obviously lacking something. -or- 2. Let her go.

Under the Weather

So this morning I woke up feeling like shit. Scratchy throat, runny nose, headache. Really not cool. I know the drill. Get rest, drink fluids, etc. But I swear what works for me is going to gym and sweating it out (or drinking plenty vodka).I already went to the gym today, now all I need is some Stoli in my life. Anyway I don't get sick often. My white blood cells are soldiers. lol. On the off chance that I do get sick I'm usally better in a day or two. Hopefully by Thursday I'll be feeling better.

Daddy's Girl

So I have crushes on both Angela and Vanessa Simmons (Vanessa more so than Angela). I think Angela looks too much like her father. They have a television show entitled Daddy's Girls that premieres today on MTV at 10:30pm EST. I probably won't be interested in the actual content of the show, but it won't hurt to watch so I can look at them.

Here is a summary of the show.

Angela & Vanessa both left to east coast to run Pastry full time in Los Angeles - with the help of their cousin Jessica and loyal friend Alycia. Jessica’s new role on the MTV Series is to help keep both Angela & Vanessa grounded in spite of their high profiled hip-hop royalty status, while friend Alycia - a beautiful aspiring singer who lives on a limited budget tries to keep up with the Simmons sisters.

Looking for a New Coat

So its only Januaray and I'm anticipating at least three more months of cold weather. I want a new coat/jacket. Something not to heavy but will keep me really warm. Nashville is funny when it comes to weather. It might be 20 degrees one day and in the same week the high might be 65. I've been looking online and saw a couple of coats that I like. Let me know what you think of these or post anything you think might be nice.
